Homeschool Enrichment Program
“Never be within doors when you can rightly be without.”
— Charlotte Mason

About
Drop-off classes designed for 7-12-year-old students who thrive in an outdoor learning environment and love to learn in a hands-on, experiential setting. We offer 2 different cohorts to choose from, cohort 1 focusing on Art in Nature and cohort 2 focusing on Spanish skills.
Our teaching philosophy is inspired by Charlotte Mason and inspires the way in which we teach and engage with our students. One of our favorite things about Charlotte Mason's philosophy around education is the attitude behind it - making learning fun, student-led, and cultivating a love of learning from a young age! That is our primary objective here at Stillwater - to help each one of our students develop a love of learning by fueling their curiosity.
We offer 2 cohorts to choose from:
Cohort 1: Tuesdays from 12:30PM-3:30PM - Art in Nature
Cohort 2: Wednesdays from 12:30PM-3:30PM - Intro to Spanish

Instructor
Liv Hebert
I am from Central Minnesota and find my energy when playing in the snow, climbing rocks, or swimming in a lake. Throughout my childhood and into adulthood, I have always learned best through hands-on experience and creative exploration. During my time at the University of Minnesota Duluth, I worked as a rock climbing instructor and outdoor guide for 3 years. I have experience helping participants of all ages and physical abilities feel successful and comfortable in the outdoors. My formal education in Spanish Studies and Art provided me with the opportunity to study in Costa Rica and work in Mexico and I am thrilled to bring my passion for speaking and teaching Spanish to field school! I am committed to helping kids discover their passions and exploring education with an intercultural perspective. When I’m not working, you can find me making art, drinking tea, cooking, or playing guitar.
Located under the ponderosa pines at Sweet Mercy Farm, we will spend our days surrounded by chickens, llamas, two cows, organically grown produce and the simple wide-open. We believe that the best learning opportunities happen outdoors as we explore and create. When in need of shelter we utilize our log cabin.
